a most curious event for those getting hitched

so i meant to post this last month but i’ve been busy so better late than never

I had a couple of exhausting days working at a most curious wedding fair  this weekend. It was a lot of fun actually. There were vendors for different parts of the weeding from the hen to the actual celebration.there were stationary people , cake people , photo people and stylists. The first day was media only so it was a bit calmer in comparison to the second day where the door was always busy.

my fave bits were cake me baby , there were some amazing cakes on the stand it was torture setting up the stage with the stand so close. The lady that makes the cakes does some amazing novelty /theme cakes .in her book she had a narnia themed caked and a huge donut (my personal favourite).there was a birthday on the 1st day for one of the ladies that made bows and she made a special cake.

there was also a carvan which was pretty cool i think it was for hen nights and things, they were giving out sangria on the day.alcohol makes the world a better place.

barefoot wine and bubbly she does a range of wines i had some prosecco i think it was called , i don’t generally like wine but it wasn’t bad.

french made had a really nice table of cakes.there was a pop art cake with superheroes on top and a biscuit edged cake which looked so nice.

there was a lot of vintage dresses at the event i had a chat with a lady on a stand selling historical themed items , she upcycled bits of old garment and uses them on period clothing. she is also an amazing embroiderer she showed me floral piece she was working on.i also got to wear what i was told took about 3 birds to make.the headpiece was amazing and huge.

i also got to try a slide on cap a la dame au beret which was really nice but there were also more molded pieces that were really detailed really beautiful pieces.

the photo booths there were two ‘alfie the black cab’ self explanatory , lots of props in the back and you take photos with them on . you can rent them out for a couple of hours outside your reception venue and you get a personalised book which guests can sign. the perfect momento.then there was the looklook photo booth same idea but it looked more like a traditional booth.you got print outs of your pics.lots of fun to try.

The dresses, there were a few stand that were quite cool can’t remember all the names but beyond burlesque was the most surprising on the catwalk. i didn’t like the stand pieces as they were very odd. in the show there was a more obvious diversity in style.there was another stand tht was in the first hall as you walked in the door by the cab booth which had amazing vintage dresses .

accessories , there was a stand that had nice accessories that used paper coated  it was very pretty.on all the accessories stands there was the feel of it being handmade and personal.from hand embroidery to folded paper.
